HARRISBURG – Sen. Chris Gebhard (R-48) has been officially recognized as a 2026 Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for his support of Pennsylvania businesses and Main Streets.
NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business Award is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with small businesses on the issues identified directly by small business owners. Gebhard voted in line with small businesses on 100% of these issues and is the only member of the state Senate to receive the distinction this year.
“We are proud to recognize state Sen. Chris Gebhard as a Guardian of Small Business,” said Greg Moreland, NFIB Pennsylvania state director. “As the sole Senate recipient of this award, Sen. Gebhard has distinguished himself as a strong advocate for Pennsylvania’s small businesses. We thank him for his leadership and commitment to Main Street employers.”
“As a small business owner and former president of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce, I understand firsthand the challenges small businesses face and the important role they play in our communities,” Gebhard said. “Small businesses create jobs, strengthen our local economies and invest directly in the communities they call home. I am honored to receive this recognition, and I will continue fighting to make Pennsylvania a place where small businesses can grow, succeed and create opportunity.”
